Beiersdorf conducted extensive research for this specific patent. It took 10,000 hours of testing 160 substances over a period of five years, plus 2,500 laboratory tests performed and 1,000 samples washed internally. Additionally, Beiersdorf had the support of a recognized testing laboratory focusing on fabric research and certification, the Hohenstein Institute. In this case, the new product was further evaluated by washing an additional 200 samples. These tests involved applying the products to fabrics and simulating the washing process under the most difficult conditions and with different water qualities. Stain intensity was then analyzed to find the ideal ingredients to help you remove sunscreen from clothes. The result of this extensive research was very satisfactory and showed how effective the anti-yellow stain complex is in reducing the intensity of stains caused by UV filters even under the most difficult testing conditions.
